Jakub Lenart

Who are you?

Hi, my name is Jakub, but I usually go by Kuba. I’ve been working as a Data Engineer & Data Scientist for three years now, and I hold a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Data Science. It all kicked off during my bachelor’s when I took courses on AI and machine learning. Honestly, not the easiest stuff to wrap my head around, but it got me hooked. That curiosity pushed me to focus on this area for my thesis, and before I knew it, I was already applying for a Data Science master’s program. Over time, I realized I enjoyed it more than I expected, especially with the recent rise of large language models and their potential to create so impactful solutions – which I’ve become very passionate about. Outside of work, I try to stay active and explore new hobbies. Lately, I’ve been into ceramics – way tougher than I expected, but I’m not giving up just yet!

What made you join Devies Digital Core (DDC)?

After working at two large companies, I was very excited to join a smaller place where I could have more direct impact. From my very first interview at DDC, I felt a welcoming, almost family-like atmosphere – something that later proved to be true. I also had a strong urge to become more involved on the business side of my career, and that’s exactly what DDC and Devies R&D in general offered me from the start. Being part of client discussions, pitching ideas, and actively shaping solutions is something I genuinely enjoy. What excites me even more is the flexibility to work on diverse projects, constantly learning and exploring rather than being stuck on the same project for years. It keeps things dynamic, challenging, and, most importantly – fun.

How can the industry maximise its use of you?

I believe I still have a fresh perspective on things, and I’m very eager to deepen my knowledge and skills. Before capabilities, it’s always the willingness that drives us to push further – and that’s what I believe I bring to the table. I’m not afraid to dive deep into things, which most of the time helps me find smart workarounds. It comes in handy in many areas of my life, but especially when I’m coding. I’m also a people person, which makes it easy to build strong connections with customers, potential clients, and colleagues. Lastly, I thrive in team environments, and I genuinely care about how those around me feel, which always leads to better collaboration. Overall, I believe I strike a good balance between my passion for technology and my ability to build meaningful relationships, which helps drive innovation and contributes to create great team dynamics.
