Who are you?
I’m Dixon Rodrigues. I come from the southern part of India, specifically Bangalore, often referred to as the Silicon City of India. I have extensive experience in Data Engineering, formerly known as Data Warehousing. My professional interests include cloud-based data solutions, ETL processes, and big data analytics. Through my work, I focus on data architecture, optimization, scalability, performance tuning, and industry best practices. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to explore and continuously learn new technologies, including cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and big data processing frameworks such as Databricks, which keep me engaged and driven. Outside of work, I find nature to be a great source of relaxation and inspiration. Music is my second passion—it helps me unwind and relieve stress. I also enjoy cycling, which allows me to explore the city while staying fit.
What made you join Devies Digital Core?
After spending many years at a multinational IT consulting firm, serving several U.S.-based clients, I had the privilege of working in Europe for a prestigious automotive company, which offered a unique and enriching experience. Following the successful completion of that assignment, Devies Digital Core presented an excellent opportunity for me to extend my stay, collaborate with local customers, and leverage my strengths to address their unique challenges by developing tailored solutions.
How can the industry maximize its use of you?
With extensive experience in traditional Data Warehousing and on-premise environments, I have witnessed its transformation into modern Data Engineering.
Over the years, I have helped organizations by:
– seamlessly integrating data from diverse sources and building reliable data pipelines;
– enhancing system and query performance for faster data delivery;
– optimizing infrastructure to handle larger workloads with minimal hardware expansion, reducing CAPEX; and
– managing databases as both an Application and System DBA, ensuring optimization, maintenance, and security.
By leveraging these skills, I enable organizations to modernize their data architecture, reduce costs, and enhance data processing efficiency, ultimately driving better business outcomes.
