Who are you?
Hi, I’m Samira, a Data Engineer with over a decade of experience in building reliable, scalable, and performance-optimized data solutions. I’ve worked across industries like education, automotive, and analytics -designing database systems, crafting ETL pipelines, and turning complex data into business-ready insights. Currently, I’m contributing to Volvo Autonomous Solutions, where I help manage and process large scale autonomous vehicle data. What truly defines me is my problem-solving mindset. I’m someone who can’t let a challenge go unresolved, I literally can’t sleep if there’s a problem left hanging. I enjoy digging deep into system behavior, spotting patterns, and designing practical, efficient solutions. I also thrive in collaborative environments. I’m proactive when it comes to taking ownership of tasks and driving progress forward, and I know the value of good, open communication. I believe in sharing knowledge, asking the right questions, and creating clarity whether I’m working with engineers or stakeholders. For me, good communication isn’t just about talking, it’s about making sure we’re all aligned and moving in the right direction together.
What made you join Devies Digital Core?
I joined Devies R&D because I was looking for more than just a job, I wanted a place that values knowledge sharing, innovation, and real collaboration. How can the industry maximize its use of you?
I work best in environments where data challenges are complex and the stakes are high. I enjoy diving deep into system behavior, identifying bottlenecks, and designing practical, efficient solutions. With a strong technical foundation and a big-picture mindset, I often act as a bridge between data and business needs. I care about building things that last—systems that are not only functional, but also maintainable and scalable. I’m always curious, always learning, and always looking for ways to improve the way we work with data.
